WORKSHOPS

Bluffton High School, Artist-in-Residence, Two-Day Workshop, Bluffton, South Carolina, 2013. Sponsored by the Island School Council for the Arts in partnership with The Public Art Exhibition on Hilton Head Island and the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry to facilitate the creation of a large-scale ceramic tile mural to be permanently installed in Bluffton High School.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Collaborated with 5th Street Ministries in Statesville, NC to make and donate bowls to use in their Empty Bowls luncheon that raises money for the homeless shelter. Responsible for Mitchell Community College’s Ceramics I & II classes donating a total of seventy bowls made over the course three semesters to the fundraiser. Led students in a class project where each student made three bowls to donate to the event. Students were excited to participate in the outreach and enjoyed creating something they could give back to the community.
