COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Collaborated with 5thStreet Ministries in Statesville, NC to make and donate bowls to use in their Empty Bowls luncheon that raises money for the homeless shelter. Responsible for Mitchell Community College’s Ceramics I & II classes donating a total of seventy bowls made over the course three semesters to the fundraiser. Led students in a class project where each student made three bowls to donate to the event. Students were excited to participate in the outreach and enjoyed creating something they could give back to the community.
